ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin Trails for Playstation Portable
With the launch of the PSP, Sony made its popular ATV OFFROAD FURY series portable with ATV OFFROAD FURY: Blazin Trails. The game recreates all of the offroad racing action from the console. Like the console version, Blazin Trails includes a number of challenging modes. The single-player championship mode presents 14 different events for players to master. After defeating all 14 courses, players can use the race creator to customize tracks by placing gate checkpoints across an open field. Finally, Blazin Trails takes a different approach to unlocking extra tracks, ATVs, and other options. Instead of winning them in races, players will have to master a collectible card mini-game. Players can win or lose cards against computer-controlled opponents or play and trade online with others. In addition to the online card game option, Blazin Trails gives players two different online options. There’s the Ad Hoc mode, which gives up to four players a chance to race or to play one of several available mini-games via Wi-Fi. Then there’s infrastructure mode, which uses the internet to connect racers to other players across the world and features most of the same options found in Ad Hoc mode.
